Biography

Beth Cunningham leads the firm as the Managing Partner, bringing lawyers and staff together as one across all offices, committed to exemplary client service and a firm atmosphere of professional excellence, mutual respect, friendship and inclusiveness.

 As Managing Partner, Beth works directly on the overall leadership of the firm and implementation of its Strategic Plan. Together they have ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s operations and performance. Beth is directly responsible for the overall management of the firm’s practice divisions and serves as the leadership liaison for of the firm’s professional development, recruiting, diversity and inclusion and pro bono committees.

Beth has served as the Managing Partner since 2010, and has served on the firm’s Board of Directors since 2003. Beth is a strong, supportive leader to colleagues at the firm and in her community. She has been recognized for her legal prowess and leadership many times, most recently being awarded Corporate Counsel’s 2018 National Women in Law Honorees for Innovative Leadership.

Before committing to serve as the Managing Partner, Beth was a leading trial attorney in trust and estate matters, focused on defending corporate fiduciaries against claims of fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty arising from the creation and administration of trusts. She also defended trust termination and reformation actions, and litigated adversary proceedings.

Beth’s clients included a major brokerage firm and several national and regional banks and trust companies.

In addition to her experience representing hospitals and health care systems in financings, Beth regularly represents banks and borrowers in the senior living and CCRC industry, including new financings and workouts of troubled credits.

In corporate transactional matters, Kathryn represents private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, financings, dispositions and corporate restructurings.  Beth also represents hospitals, health systems and physician groups in financing and general corporate matters.

Beth delivered exceptional legal advice to our company during our critical early years and has continued to be our go-to counsel as our enterprise has expanded into a global, Fortune 500 company. She understands our business and has been vital to our immense success.
