Ella G Vanderlore

Ella Vanderlore leads Squared’s Real Estate practice.

She focuses primarily on real estate finance, including advising and representing banks and institutional investors in relation to commercial real estate loan origination, purchase, sale and servicing. She also regularly advises clients with respect to workouts (including restructurings and foreclosures) of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, preferred equity investments and unsecured loans.

Complementing Ella’s extensive background in real estate finance, fund formation, securitization, capital markets, tax structuring, dispute resolution, loan restructurings and workouts, performing and non-performing notes sales, and mezzanine financing, is an in-depth knowledge of environmental law. Ella’s broad experience has enabled him to deftly handle a wide variety of matters, from guiding clients through the challenges of the various credit markets to negotiating difficult, multifaceted deal structures.

Ella is also a member of Squared’s’ US Board as well as Division Chair of the Firm’s various transactional practices, including Real Estate, US Capital Markets, Corporate, Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation, Hotels & Leisure, Tax, Trusts & Estates, and Venture Technology. In this role, she provides strategic advice to the groups’ leaders and oversees the administrative and organizational aspects of their practices, including providing assistance with strategic planning, productivity improvement, lateral recruitment and new partner integration.
